FEDORA - The European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet is a non-profit organisation, chaired by Stéphane Argyropoulos and that is based at the Palais Garnier with the aim to support creativity and innovation in opera and dance. Through its funding programmes, the FEDORA Prizes Biennale and the Next Stage Grants, FEDORA provides both funding opportunities and capacity-building to its network of over 130 opera houses and dance companies all over Europe.
Internationally recognised as the largest opera and dance competition and European Platform for new works in opera and dance, co-funded by the European Commission, FEDORA aims to guarantee the future of these art forms in Europe. Four prizes are awarded to promising teams who collaborate on the creation of new opera and dance co-productions, and on the involvement and education of new and young audiences. In parallel, the Next Stage Grants are attributed to projects that drive innovation through sustainable, inclusive, and digital transformation on, behind, and beyond the stage.
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Executive Operations Trainee to join our international team at FEDORA. This pivotal role combines executive support with strategic operations related to our organisation’s fundraising activities. The successful candidate will manage the Director’s calendar and meetings, assist in preparing proposals, and conduct prospect research, contributing to the growth and efficiency of our philanthropic initiatives.
Calendar & Meeting Management: Efficiently manage the Director’s calendar, scheduling internal and external meetings, ensuring optimal time allocation, and preparing necessary materials.
Communication Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the Director, facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Travel Coordination: Arrange travel logistics for the Director and Team, including transportation, accommodations, and itineraries.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and edit documents, presentations, and reports for meetings and events.
Proposal Preparation: Assist in drafting and editing proposals for funding, ensuring alignment with organisational development goals and donor interests.
Prospect Research: Conduct thorough research on potential donors to identify new funding opportunities.
Database Management: Maintain and update donor databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of interactions and contributions.
Education: Master’s degree student in business administration, cultural management, sales, or fundraising.
Experience: Previous experience in executive support, fundraising, or project management is preferred.
Skills:
Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) is an advantage.
Languages: Native or bilingual proficiency in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
Proactive & Independent: Ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Discreet & Trustworthy: Capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
Team-Oriented: Collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
